Before its revamp, the ship sailed as the Cape Cod Light and more recently, the Sea Discoverer. While it has an international flag and uses international crew, the ship itself was built in the U.S., at the same shipyard as American Queen's ship American Empress. The 9-night "Great Lakes Cruise" includes overnights in Montreal, Quebec City, St Lawrence Seaway, Thousand Islands, Toronto, Kingston, Niagara Falls, Cleveland. Ship's 2018 summer program had scheduled voyages between Detroit-Halifax and along Atlantic Canada-New England. The 2004-built Ocean Navigator cruise ship (fka "MS Victory II") was launched as "Cape Cod Light" and previously operated also under the name "Sea Discoverer".

In 2023, AQV's Ocean Navigator introduced the 9-day "Immersive Yucatan Exploration Cruise Tour" (from Cozumel to Cancun/first departure Feb 3rd). Launched in May 2018, Ocean Navigator (formerly Victory II) is almost identical to its sister ship Ocean Voyager (formerly Victory I), which debuted in 2016. Both ships were bought by American Queen Voyages (formerly American Queen Steamboat Company) in 2019 and have received mini-makeovers before the summer sailing season begins. Victory Cruise Line/AQV fares are inclusive of all daily-scheduled tours (excursions ashore). Deals are also inclusive of alcohol (beer and wine) at lunch and dinner. The company's closest competitor in both USA and Cuba is Pearl Seas Cruises. The 220-passenger ship Ocean Navigator was built in 2004 (launched as "Cape Cod Light") by Atlantic Marine (shipyard Jacksonville Florida / now BAE Systems Southeast Florida).
